Canada Geese – Sand Dollars – The Apprentice

Ey Up! Here’s the latest from the park bench, brought to you by the “Last of The Hand Pumped Tetleys” crew!

First things first, a huge shoutout to Andy Kelly for absolutely nailing his Big Winter Workout on January 31st—brilliant job, mate!

During our morning strolls this week, we covered a range of topics as usual. We chatted about the Six Nations, tried to decipher the Champions League format, wondered why Canada geese flock to Thornes Park in Wakefield, and discussed the ageism in The Apprentice Show.

We’d like to extend an open invitation to anyone keen on joining our walking group. We meet every morning from 6 AM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday. You’re sure to feel great for the rest of the day, have a laugh, and enjoy some engaging conversations. Plus, there are health benefits up for grabs, like possible weight loss, improved breathing, better sleep, and overall peace of mind.

If you’re interested in joining us—whether just once, occasionally, or every day—feel free to send me a message via WhatsApp +44 07736157050. We’d love to have you along!

And speaking of making a difference, let me share a story about a young boy and his grandfather walking along the beach after a storm. They found hundreds of sand dollars washed ashore, struggling to survive in the sun. The grandfather would pick them up, one by one, and throw them back into the sea. The little boy asked, “Grandfather, why are you throwing them back?” The grandfather replied, “So that they will live.” The boy pondered this and said, “But there are so many! What difference can it make?” The grandfather smiled, reached down, and tossed another sand dollar back into the ocean, saying, “To that one, it makes all the difference in the world.”

So, don’t forget to check in on someone this weekend. Give them a call, send a message—these small gestures can make a big difference for many. Even if it only impacts one person, it’s worth it, just like that sand dollar returned to the sea. Your call or message could be the lifeline someone needs.
