In a world of Corporate Skullduggery Senseless Wars and Political Nonsense !!!

As we move into May and look forward to the upcoming bank holiday weekend, this is the perfect time for reflection.

This week, I restarted my early morning swims at the lake … it’s been six months since my last early morning swim—and it reminded me of the immense joy it brings, like reconnecting with an old friend. While the initial shock of the cold water is familiar, the water temperature is high for this time of year, exceeding 15 degrees, which enhanced the experience.

What struck me most was the richness of simplicity and nature all around us—elements we can all greatly benefit from.

In a world rife with corporate skullduggery , senseless wars, and the daily onslaught of political nonsense, spending time in nature allows us to reconnect with what truly matters.

Nature, wildlife, friendship, and caring for one another are fundamental.

Remember to reach out and check in on your friends; a phone call can truly make a profound difference in their day.

I hope this weekend is filled with excitement—Leeds United clinching the Championship title, Wakefield Trinity triumphing over Castleford at the Magic Weekend, and Joseph achieving victories in both rugby and football (wouldn’t it be great to be 13 again and fit ?).

Wishing you all a fantastic bank holiday weekend !
